A #throwback to June 2019 and a South Coast road trip to Headlands Hotel.
Partnering with the amazing team at Be Challenged seven lucky clients joined the TP team to experience what Austinmer and Headlands Hotel has to offer!
After a morning departure from Sydney, we hit the road.
Along the journey, our guests got to experience the Be Challenged ‘Go Team’ activity with iPads, where they had to answer questions and do some fun activities along the way and at the places we stopped.
A scenic journey 1 hour south of Sydney included stops at Bald Hill Lookout, overlooking the one and only Seacliff Bridge and an exclusive cider tasting at Darkes Forest accompanied with a delicious homemade cheese board.
Following arrival at Headlands Hotel, the group where greeted with seafood platters & chilled glasses of pinot gris and rose for lunch in the Sundowner Terrace.
Moving into the afternoon, a site inspection of the property. Viewing the accommodation, grounds and event spaces.
Next up, a Be Challenged program – The Big Picture. A team building exercise with individuals joining into small teams; with each team being responsible for painting one or several individual canvases. In order for the overall artwork to be successful, they need to cooperate with other teams rather than compete. By doing so, they take a “Big Picture” view instead of an individual team view to ensure that each canvas joins perfectly and the final result is a success.
A little time to check-in, breathe in the fresh sea air and enjoy time to rest and refresh in the very spacious ocean view rooms., before an evening Cocktail Making MasterClass… we definitely sampled quite a few of our cocktail creations that evening…
A delicious dinner in the Ocean View Room wrapped up the evening with a delicious Charcuterie and Mezze board starter, followed by a three-course alternate drop menu of trice baked gruyere & feta souffle. Caramalised leek & pea risotto, kingfish & confit duck thigh to name a few of the menu inclusions... there was plenty of wine also, which carried us into the night.
The next morning, we had a delicious a la carte breakfast, followed by the quick drive back to Sydney (just over an hour) and were back in the office by 10:30am – with fond memories of this our beautiful seaside road trip.
Don't take our word for it, some reviews from those in attendance...
