About South Africa

About South Africa

Southern Africa, spanning South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, offers a great deal to the group incentive travel market. One of the most beautiful destinations in the world, Southern Africa offers you as a group travel organiser an unbeatable combination of attractions. You can choose to host your group in the soulful deserts of the Namib, the lush splendour of the Cape Winelands, the dramatic bush scenery of a game lodge or next to natural wonders such as the Victoria Falls. These fabulous settings are complemented by luxury accommodation, fine dining and exciting, authentic experiences.

The fearsome lion, the majestic elephant, the short-sighted and short-tempered rhino, the mighty buffalo and elusive leopard are just five of the reasons that Southern Africa is so popular as a meetings and incentives destination. With a first world infrastructure, unmatched game viewing opportunities, fascinating cultures, warm friendly people, luxury accommodation and magical scenery, Southern Africa is truly a world in one country!

Highlights

Highlights

■ Natural Wonders
Southern Africa is home to several natural wonders which can be used to great effect. Enjoy a private dinner on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River gorge just below the Victoria Falls. Perched hundreds of feet above the raging water, the cliff walls create a dramatic African backdrop. Or, have a Street-party at the bottom of beautiful Table Mountain complete with a carnival band and close up performers. And how about a desert camp set up just for you at the foot of giant sand dunes complete with five star décor and an orchestra which magically appears from the sandy dunes….? The options are endless!

■ The ultimate safari experience
Ride an African Elephant in the wild, track a pack of endangered African Wild Dogs or join a walking safari in search of Rhino. Nothing can compare to the excitement of encountering big game in their natural environment. A highlight for any group is joining a wildlife vet on his duties as he darts a rhino or elephant for medical or research purposes. Every participant plays a vital role, from cooling the animal to taking samples and what is more, it is a wonderful way to contribute to the research and protection of these vulnerable creatures.

■ White sandy beaches
Southern Africa boasts miles and miles of white sandy beaches and we see this as the perfect playground for our exclusive group events. A favourite product is our Survivor Beach Challenge – spotters in helicopters, high speed motorboat relay teams and beach Olympics… ending off with a seafood BBQ. Or, a black-tie dinner with your feet in the sand and fireworks lighting up the lapping waves.

■ Winelands
Combine wine-tasting with some fun and adventure: a vintage car rally through the famous vineyards of Paarl, Franschoek and Stellenbosch followed by an organic picnic at the foothills of the Helderberg mountain range. We then make our own wine under the careful eye of a wine master before jumping on the back of Harley Davidson motorcycles for a GPS adventure en-route to a cellar dinner nestled in the Franshoek mountainside…

An amazing
destination.

As a destination, Southern Africa is multi-faceted - it's never just one thing at any one time. World-class wildlife-watching, cosmopolitan cities like the great big beating heart of Johannesburg, stunning natural panoramas from Table Mountain National Park and vibrant cultures make the country appealing to almost every taste and budget.

Location, Location.

Geographically, its extremes include the arid semi-desert of the Karoo, the snow-capped peaks of the Drakensberg mountain range, the lush subtropical coast of KwaZulu-Natal and the fertile temperate valleys of Western Cape. Within the space of a day, you can journey from vineyard-clad hillsides in the Western Cape to the vast open spaces of the Kalahari; from waterfront chic in Cape Town to isolated Zulu villages; from elephant-spotting in Kruger National Park to the sublime seascapes of the coast.
